CHICAGO, 11/15/00 —
Highlighting its success in delivering analytical CRM solutions, SPSS Inc. (Nasdaq: SPSS) was granted the 2000 Greater Chicagoland Technology Fast 50 Award. Deloitte & Touche, the program sponsor, announced that SPSS placed No. 30, a ranking based on company revenues.
“We are proud of this recognition and of our long term revenue growth,” said Jack Noonan, SPSS Inc. president and CEO. “Looking to the future we expect to see on-going success as SPSS provides solutions at the intersection of the fast-growing analytical CRM and BI markets, as well as an increased demand for the analytical Web solutions. The combination of our technology, including depth and breadth of analytics and data mining with deployment, along with our expertise in analytical customer relationship management solutions, uniquely positions SPSS to capitalize on this growth opportunity as the market matures. This is what will enable us to continue to deliver long-term value to our customers and to our shareholders.”
When announcing the winners, Timothy J. McCarty, partner-in-charge of the Deloitte & Touche Technology and Communications practice - Midwest Region, said, “The strong vision and total business focus of each of the Fast 50 winners and Rising Stars have been demonstrated clearly in their outstanding revenue growth.” To identify winners, Deloitte & Touche reviewed the companies’ revenues for the past five years (1995-1999), calculated the growth percentage, and then compared the growth of all the technology companies in the region.
The Fast 50 Program is sponsored by Deloitte & Touche in association with Kirkland and Ellis, One Motorola Ventures, the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the University of Chicago School of Business.
