SPSS has appointed Rachel Clinton as UK country manager. Clinton joined the company as a telesales rep in 1996, working her way up the ranks during her 11 years at the UK offices of the worldwide provider of predictive analytics software.

Clinton has progressed through a variety of sales and marketing management roles within the business. In her new position, she will be responsible for driving sales in the enterprise use of predictive analytics – technology which gives organisations a comprehensive understanding of historical and predictive customer data to improve decision making and business performance.

“Rachel has been consistently successful in a range of positions within SPSS, and has a great overview of the business and the industry,” said Adrian Carr, VP sales EMEAA at SPSS. “During her time here, SPSS has transformed itself from an analytical tools company into a predictive analytics expert. We now work with many of the world’s blue chip companies to help them make better use of data in their myriad decision making process. Rachel has evolved with the company, and is now in a position to drive on the continued developments.”

“I joined the company when the sales team was just four staff and have seen it grow to almost 30. It’s been a fantastic opportunity so far and I’m looking forward to engaging with my new role,” commented Clinton.

“This is an exciting time to be at SPSS – businesses are looking for greater operational efficiency and customer interaction – and this means gaining customer insight. I believe that predictive analytics will be at the heart of decision-making in 2008.”
