Achieving aggressive annual fundraising goals can necessitate a more sophisticated approach to prospect identification, such as incorporating data mining. Through the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) Peter B. Wylie Data Mining Internship, one campaign administrator in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences (A&S;) at The Johns Hopkins University did just this by working with SPSS Statistics Base and SPSS’ market-leading data mining workbench, Clementine, to bring A&S; closer to meeting its goals.
