The focus of this two-day course is on the use of a wide range of transformation techniques to modify data values, manage and manipulate your data files, and export your results to other applications' file formats. Additional techniques beyond the basics for modifying data values and creating new variables will be discussed. You'll also learn how to merge files using SPSS Statistics as well as producing aggregated data files and exporting results.

Anyone who has worked with SPSS Statistics and wants to explore additional data management and manipulation features of SPSS Statistics and generally increase their efficiency with SPSS Statistics. The course is a natural follow-on to the "Fast Track: Introduction to SPSS Statistics" course or as a stand alone for experienced users who have learned the basic operations of SPSS Statistics on their own.
General computer literacy. Completion of the “Fast Track version here "Fast Track: Introduction to SPSS Statistics" course or experience with SPSS (Statistics) (Version 14 or later) including familiarity with using the graphical user interface to read and define data and basic uses of Recode and Compute transformations.
No statistical background is necessary.
