Statistical Methods for Healthcare Research

Course description:

The first day of this course is for new users of SPSS Statistics. You will learn the basics of SPSS Statistics required for the following days of training. The subsequent days of training will take you through the practical aspects of statistical analysis. You will learn the concepts behind inferential statistics and what techniques are appropriate for various situations. You will use statistical methods to investigate differences in group averages and between profiles of responses across different categories. Both parametric and non-parametric tests are covered in the course.

This course uses the SPSS Statistics Base, ANOVA.

Prerequisite:

General computer literacy. Completion of the "Fast Track: Introduction to SPSS Statistics" and/or "Data Management and Manipulation with SPSS Statistics" courses or experience with SPSS Statistics including familiarity with opening, defining, and saving data files and manipulating and saving output.
