The heart of any Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system is the questionnaire or script that is administered by the interviewers. Quancept uses a comprehensive language to control the questions asked and capture the given responses. In addition to data capture consideration must be given to screen layouts, data format, and "behind the scenes" checking, control and quotas.
The course provides an overview of the whole Quancept language, and investigates the elementary usage of these features. The objective is to provide the student with the knowledge to conduct straightforward interviews. There are practical exercises throughout the course to provide hands-on experience and comprehensive examples throughout this intensive course.

Those responsible for writing Quancept scripts.
Some experience with the UNIX editor VI, since all exercises will use this editor. A basic understanding of telephone interviewing would be an advantage. Knowledge of Unix commands would also help with the practical exercises on the course.
