Course description:

Creating survey questions, instructions and logic is often the first tangible part of a project for researchers after the survey design phase. This course covers the basics of creating questionnaires for web and telephone interviewing using the web-based interfaces available with DimensionNet. The course covers all aspects of making a simple survey, applying pre-existing looks to the survey, setting up, using and inviting a sample of participants to take the survey, deploying the survey, checking top-line results of survey questions and exporting the respondent data to a data file.

Who Should Attend:

Staff that will be using the web-interfaces of DimensionNet to create and deploy surveys through Dimensions.
This course would be good for System Administrators to get an overview of the end users project process flow and steps.

Prerequisite:

Understanding of survey creation and the collection process would be helpful, but not required.

Course Content:

Build. Creating a survey with the easy to use web-interface application.
Applying pre-made template to your Build script to enhance the look and feel.
Running a test survey to check the questionnaire.
Learning to apply a pre-determined sample management script to your questionnaire. Sample Management allows you to track the people taking survey, as well as making sure respondents only take the survey once (if applicable).
Activating the survey for live production.
Using the Reporting Tools. Learning to create top-line results of the data collected with mrInterview with the online reporting tool.
Exporting Data. Learn to export the results of your questionnaire to SPSS, Quantum ASCII, XML, or any format with an existing Data Source Component.
