This year's European Directions Conference will be held near Rome, one of Europe's most dramatic and exciting cities and a spectacular backdrop to the event.
We have selected the Rome Marriott Park Hotel, the largest convention centre complex in Europe, as our venue for 2010. It offers an unrivalled networking environment and is conveniently located between Rome Fiumicino International Airport and the city centre, providing ample opportunity to take in the sights at one of the world's iconic cities.
Rome is the birthplace of western civilisation, where past and present join in perfect harmony. Known far and wide as The Eternal City, Rome is rich in history, art and culture, and it has many UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Attractions such as the Vatican and the Colosseum rank among the world's 50 most visited tourist destinations in the world. Other famous landmarks are the Forum and the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps.
Delegates can also enjoy are wide range of cuisines, from traditional taverna fare to haute cusine at some of the world's finest restaurants.
Hotels
European Directions 2010 will take place at the Rome Marriott Park Hotel and Conference Centre located on the ring road outside the city centre of Rome and a short distance from the airport. Due to the location of the conference centre it is recommended that delegates choose one of the hotels listed below (see map). Transport between these properties and the conference venue is provided daily and is included in the registration fee.

The rate is intended per room per night and includes buffet breakfast. The rate includes 10% VAT.
Located in the commercial area of the Capital and easily reached from the airports and major motorways, the Sheraton Golf Parco dé Medici Hotel & Resort is the perfect venue for business and travellers. The resort is just 18 Km from Fiumicino Airport and 12 Km from the centre of Rome. The hotel also offers two unheated outdoor swimming pools, three gyms, sauna, and Turkish bath are great places to relax.

The rate is intended per room per night and includes American breakfast and 10% VAT.
The Four Points by Sheraton Roma West Hotel is in the heart of the Rome European District. The hotel is strategically located near the New Rome Fair and the Palalottomatica complex just outside the Rome Ring Road, a few minutes away from Fiumicino Airport, and 20 minutes from downtown Rome. Guest rooms and suites are spacious and comfy, and furnished in a sleek, modern style with all the amenities you need.

Cancellation policy:
For cancellations submitted before 17:00 CET, 31 March, 2010, your conference registration fees will be refunded less €100.00 plus 20% VAT cancellation fee.
No refund of conference registration fee available for cancellations after 17:00 CET, 31 March, 2010.
SPSS Hotel Cancellation Policy: any cancellations or reductions of stay have to be sent to [email protected] by 17:00 CET on April 16, 2010. After this date you will be liable for the full cost of your booking. This also applies to no shows. To cancel, provide your registration confirmation number and reason for cancelling in an e-mail to: [email protected].
Please note: departure time for all hotels is at 11.00am. Failing to depart before this time may result in your hotel charging you for an additional night.
